A lonely day [Open!]

"Silverstar, you're going to really sit inside, on a day like this?" The elder Scratchednose had found her. the retired warrior didn't like to be treated like an Elder, instead going around camp, keeping himself strong, if the need ever arose. He even played with the kits, something most warriors wouldn't do, teaching basic skills, like pouncing. the huge gash on his nose was the reason for his odd name, and something he liked having around, a battle scar. he had gotten it defending Waterclan from a big badger many moons ago. it had nearly killed the cat, but he lived through it, and became a better warrior of it, too. "It's so nice."

(I feel stupid now.)
"oh, come now, Silverstar." The old cat encouraged. "you should keep active. like me."

Scratchednose smiled. "I think the kits are calling my name." He padded away, into the nursery, where excited cheers could be heard from the kits.
