Silverstar was walking down the border on a lazy afternoon day when she heard this vice call out. She looked behind her and saw an apprentice. -Uh...say what, now?-
The young apprentice beamed and hopped up and down. "I thay my 's' with a 'th' and 'r' and 'l' with a 'w'!" he explained merrily. Hopefully she didn't get confused with him.
(OOC your welcome ^^) Silverstar just kept staring at the young tom. -You know what? Come with me to camp, then we can explain everything there...calmly...- She started walking to camp and nodded at him, that meant she wanted him to follow her.
Silverstar kept walking, until they finally reached the camp. It was very desolate. -There where so many cats, a long time ago...- she whispered -after the greencough epidemic, almost all the clan members died out...I'm afraid there's no one who can mentor you...- she said, then after a pause added -Other than myself...-
Stagpaw stared in sadness, or at least a little of it; he wasn't very familiar with the feeling nor term. "Oh," he replied scanning the empty camp. "O-okay," the apprentice nodded slowly, but soon perked up his ears and turned to Silverstar. "But I'm thuwe mowe joinewth wiww come thoon!" he added with a hopeful expression on his face.
-Could you, please, at least try to make your sentences clearer? I'm having a hard time understanding you...- she added, but she was smiling. The little tom gave her something she hadn't had in a while. Hope.
"Okay," Stagpaw nodded in understanding, and said, "I'm th-th-s-sure we-we'll have morrrre joinerrrrrrrrrrrssssssss s-s-sssssoon!" he widened his eyes, stared at the leader as if she had done something to change his life (which she did) and grinned as wide as he could. "Yay! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Silverstar kept staring at the young tom, a look of confusion on her face. But then she smiled again. -Umm...Your welcome?- she replied -I sure hope we will...we need more warriors...And you need a mentor- she said, turning towards him -What would you say if I became yours?-
"Coolllllll!" he grinned from ear to ear. He had never gotten a mentor before, but that might be because he was only recently made an apprentice, and he, himself, had done it. Not a leader, but he had only named himself an apprentice. He actually didn't know if he was allowed to do that, but he did it anyways.
-Good.- she smiled.-I would take you to the apprentices den...but a log fell on it a couple days ago...you'll have to stay in the warriors den until everything is fixed.-
-Oh, hello again, Scrathednose.- she said -This is Stagpaw, a new apprentice. You know there aren't many apprentices these days...- she said, her voice filled with sorrow -I will be mentoring him myself-
